Fab (Epic asset marketplace) AI content policy for game developers (2026)

Short answer: Required for assets you sell/publish. Publishers must mark assets made with generative AI as 'Created with AI' at publish time; misclassifying violates Fab terms. Buyers can hide Created-with-AI results. A separate NoAI tag opts an asset out of AI training (Standard licence only).

"Content that's not identified properly with the 'Created with AI' setting violates Fab terms."

"We'll be making it mandatory during the publishing process for creators to select whether their asset was created with a Generative AI Program or not"

"The NoAI meta tag indicates that an asset must not be used for generative AI data collection."

Before you submit

  1. List every AI-generated asset that ships (art, audio, text, code) and the tool and plan you used.
  2. Check each tool's licence for the plan you generated on. Free tiers that do not allow commercial use, per our data: Leonardo.Ai, Recraft, Tripo, Sloyd, Cascadeur, DeepMotion Animate 3D (AI mocap), ElevenLabs, Suno, Udio, Fish Audio, Murf AI, Rosebud AI, AIVA, GenPBR.
  3. If the game generates content at runtime, write down your guardrails and how players report bad output.
  4. Check copyright where you sell: see AI copyright by country.
